Graphic Design by Jay

Hello!

As some of you may not know, aside from making music and writing, by trade I am a professional graphic designer.
When I was only 13 years old I began sweeping the floors of my families print shop, watching and running print-presses, (AB-DICKs), and working in the dark room with cameras, films, half-tone screens, and developers, paste-up work on the big light-table, and learning how to use a Heidelberg Letterpress. On top of all this, I also did random sales, deliveries and general office reception work. I soon realized that the comfy chair of the in-house graphic designer would be my home for years to come. However, I only worked at home until 2000 when I began to look at my music career more seriously, and my designing took a turn towards the music industry.
I do a lot of work for friends and family, and have kept my focus on an urban style of designing while keeping my feet firmly planted in the ground to stay rooted and on par with the integrity of true art.
